It’s Thursday morning. What’s the scene at your workplace?
Upbeat music sets the mood — usually ’90s R&B, soul, or hip-hop — while the shop hums with energy. We specialize in special-occasion and vintage bridal, and today begins with a private morning bridal appointment before the doors open at 11a.

We keep drinks and snacks out all day so customers can truly “sip and shop,” while thoughtfully merchandised accessories and costume jewelry make it easy to browse and build a look. There’s also a constant, playful back-and-forth with our sister store, Platt Boutique Jewelry. We’re two stores under one roof — Platt is owned by my husband — which makes for an easy camaraderie throughout the day.

What’s on the agenda for today?
Today, we’re welcoming our model in for an upcoming collection-drop photo shoot. Seeing our unique finds come to life on a model is always a thrill, and it allows us to show how these one-of-a-kind pieces can be styled and worn by anyone searching for something truly special.

For this shoot, we’re focusing on bias-cut dresses and gowns from the 1920s, 1930s, and 1990s. These fluid, glamorous silhouettes are being prepped with our red carpet clients in mind, just in time for the upcoming awards season.

Any restaurant plans today, tonight, this weekend?
During our shoots, we often order Goop Delivery, and another favorite is Mizlala Sycamore, which always hits the spot with its vibrant Mediterranean flavors. I also made a necessary stop for my favorite “Cloud Coffee” at 6ixth Sense, my go-to coffee spot in Koreatown and a must for powering through a busy workday.

This weekend, we’re going to our favorite spot, Found Oyster. We like to sit at the bar, share a bottle of wine, and indulge in a few dozen oysters and their incredible smoked trout dip. We’ve also been eyeing reservations at Antico Nuovo, an incredible Italian spot close to home in Koreatown that never disappoints.

How about a little leisure or culture?
We’re heading to Cabo San Lucas next week and couldn’t be more excited for our annual trip. We love being in Cabo over New Year’s — this will be our sixth year in a row — and it’s become a cherished tradition to travel there with our kids. It’s a chance to step out of our usual routine, reset as a family, and truly unwind, all while staying close enough to home and our businesses. The flight is quick, but once we arrive, it feels like we’re completely away, which is exactly the point. And of course, we already have our favorite restaurants lined up for the trip.

What was your last great vacation?
We spent part of this past summer in Spain with our kids, and it was truly unforgettable. In Barcelona, we stayed at The Barcelona EDITION, which I’d enthusiastically recommend to any friends planning a trip. The location was incredibly walkable, and the staff was exceptional. We were just steps from the Picasso Museum, the MOCO Museum, and countless restaurants we enjoyed throughout our stay. Naturally, we made time for vintage and antique shopping, and were delighted to find several favorite shops just a short stroll from the hotel.

From there, we headed to Mallorca, beginning in the Old Town of Palma. The architecture and food were nothing short of incredible. We loved our stay at Hotel Basilica, a boutique hotel set directly beside a basilica — the view from our room looked out onto the stunning church itself. One evening, we even enjoyed an exceptional Italian dinner right next door.

We wrapped up our time on the beach in Playa de Muro, where the water was the clearest we’ve ever swum in. While in Mallorca, we also chartered a beautifully restored vintage sailboat called El Cordito, captained and owned by a woman named Cata. It was truly one of a kind, so much so that when we later saw a replica attempt by another company, it didn’t come close to the original.

Where are you donating your time or money?
I donate to several of the dog rescues who are trying to work with the abandoned and abused dogs living on Skid Row here in Los Angeles, @joey.tuccio and @startswithonetoday.

At Gwen, where distinctive waters from around the globe are served by the bottle, a squat, white-bound booklet breaks down each varietal’s TDS (total dissolved solids) alongside a short description and a flavor profile. The curator of this tome is Martin Riese, the most well-known (and perhaps only) water sommelier in Los Angeles.

Previously, the German-born hydration expert oversaw the water programs at now-closed restaurants like Patina and Ray’s and Stark Bar. Now, the place you can find Riese on hand as sommelier is at this jewel box-like Art Deco-inspired steakhouse in Hollywood, where the water booklet precedes a cavalcade of dry-aged steaks, seasonal sides, and a housemade charcuterie plate that typically includes a complex, flavorful duck speck.

Since Riese first relocated to Los Angeles in 2011, the world’s appreciation for expensive bottled waters has grown by leaps and bounds. (Who among us can forget the way Saratoga Springs burst into the public consciousness last year after TikTok influencer Ashton Hall’s viral morning routine video, where he not only conspicuously drinks the domestic spring water brand, but dunks his face in an entire bowl of it?) The beverage aisles of Erewhon and other local boutique grocery stores are stocked with the likes of not just mainstream options like Pellegrino and Fiji, but rarer finds like Vichy Catalan, a Spanish, salt-forward personal favorite of mine that I prefer to drink in between heavy, thirst-quenching sips of LADWP’s finest.

Still, there’s a special thrill of sliding into a booth at Gwen and being handed Riese’s little white book, in which one can contemplate the salinity of Armenia’s Ararat versus the smoothness of Denmark’s Iskild. Surf shop

Surf shops are not known for innovation. The locale might change, but the sales model, floor plan, and early aughts surf movie playing off a boxy, busted TV by the register usually don’t. Same boards, wetsuits, and bucket of wax, fin keys, and leash strings (which is all you’re usually in for anyway) by the front door.

There’s one surf shop that’s figured it out, however: Brothers Marshall Malibu Surf Shop and Community Center. On the Pacific Coast Highway, Brothers Marshall is an actual brick-and-mortar model of success, in a business often described as “completely torched.” Proper wave wares are only the start. There’s always something interesting going on, and it’s all courtesy of the owners, brothers Chad and Trace Marshall.

Valley boys who had a heavy Hollywood phase but stayed Malibu-lineup legends throughout, brothers Trace and Chad Marshall are two of the more intriguing individuals in a city full of them. And the shop itself is also a vision of curated chaos. A wall of photo books from friends and fellow Malibu locals Mike D of the Beastie Boys, artist Barry McGee, and more on one side. A lineup of surfboards, all from local shapers, in the back. Custom graphic tees featuring in-house designs, printed on actual, high-quality blanks, boardshorts, and more all around.

And behind the register? Trace and Chad, who welcome every customer, collaborator, or wandering tourist in. They’ll tell stories about what went down in the lineup this morning, who yelled at who, who got the best wave, and how you just missed “Keanu in the store. Yeah, he stopped by earlier for a burrito at Country Kitchen next door. Vince Klyn, though, you know? He played Warchild in Point Break, yeah. He should be by later. He always comes by in the afternoons.” And don’t worry, there are still bars of wax and leash strings by the front door, too.

Brothers Marshall is one of the most excellent open doors along the PCH. Unless there’s surf. In that case, they’ll be closed and marked with a “Be Back Later” sign. The brothers will still be close by, though, just down the road at First Point. –James Royce

It’s Thursday morning. What’s the scene at your workplace?
The main priority for me every day is to go surfing. It’s always the first task I try to tackle. Sometimes I get to it, and sometimes I don’t. But my livelihood and my liveliness are greatly increased when I get in the ocean.

I currently live and work in Long Beach — which, despite the name, hasn’t really been my kind of beach town or surf spot, since (long before I was born) 1941, when the breakwall went in. I’m from Huntington Beach, anyway, and since it’s one of the most consistent waves in Southern California (not the best, but definitely consistent), I go there instinctively. I know it’ll be rideable, and I know exactly where to go. If you need a surf shop, go to Kanvas by Katin on PCH in Surfside for FU Wax.

After I get in the ocean, everything else is easy. Phone calls, writing, producing, brainstorming — I run an independent surf media company called Inherent Bummer — so my day consists of wrangling various things to make that function, like making sure things are published and money is made, somehow, someway. Occasionally, I succeed.

What’s on the agenda for today?
Right this second I’m working on a surf film for Red Bull featuring three of their biggest surf stars, and publishing the always hungry Inherent Bummer newsletter, a growing bonsai that I love to prune. I’m also doing some consulting, writing a few articles for various magazines and always plotting for our annual surf and music festival during the US Open of Surfing in August called the Inherent Bummer Factory by the Sea. I’m also rebranding a legacy surf brand. For the majority of the last decade, I’ve been asked to “save surfwear and surf culture,” and it’s a Sisyphean boulder I’m always up for rolling.

Any restaurant plans today, tonight, this weekend?
Every Friday is Pizza Friday at my house, and I have a (nearly) three-year-old who makes sure we observe weekly. My wife and I find that Marlena in Naples is the best spot for that if we go out. And Thunderbolt is awesome for ordering in. Marlena has a gluten-free pizza that is good enough to order even if you love gluten. In the same neighborhood of Naples is Kihon, a sushi spot worth the drive for the tuna tasting. The staff is so kind.

Colossus on 2nd Street is a really great bakery and in another life I would spend a significant amount of time inside the historic bar Reno Room, a spot Bukowski was rumored to regularly play pool at thanks to their port worker and alcoholic friendly hours of 6a-2a every day. The booths are awesome and they fused a Mexican food restaurant to it (Cocorenos) and it has zero pretense.

Long Beach is a great town to be in your late 20s or early 30s. There are loud, gritty bars and live music venues. Less pretense than LA. Just raw art. Classic bars like The Pike and Joe Jost’s are what they are. Alex’s Bar is always hosting live punk music and Fingerprints record store is legendary and just moved into my neighborhood on Atlantic Avenue. I’m sort of aging out of that fun so I end up at places like Nonna Mercado in Cal Heights for bread and pastries and Oh La Vache Cheese Shop on 4th Street for epic sandwiches (released daily on their IG) and gourmet groceries. Beachwood is a brewery and distillery with a great pinball selection. Sala is an epic natural wine and coffee spot run by the nicest and most knowledgeable staff ever. I don’t like natural wine but the owner Derrick and his partner Brandee always know how to steer me in the right direction when I come in for vino. It’s also near Fingerprints, so a coffee and/or wine before a perusal of the record store is a day well spent.

There is a huge coffee culture here is seems — Coffee Drunk, Steelhead, Colossus, Nonna Mercado. But my absolute favorite is Rad Coffee: the coffee costs like two bucks and when you walk in early in the morning they’re blasting Circle Jerks or Adolescents, having a great time. They have a bunch of silly coffee with Fruity Pebbles in it (kids seem to love it), but if you just want a cup with no pretense and some punk rock, they’ve got you. It is the opposite of the monoculture coffee shop.

How about a little leisure or culture?
The farmer’s market on 2nd and PCH on Sunday morning is a staple for us. Weiser Farms, fresh fish thrown off the boat in Santa Barbara and driven straight down for Sunday’s market makes my family happy. I love when they have uni and Griffin just caught a record-breaking vermillion. It’s on the water in the marina and my daughter and I go watch stingrays between stalls or when it gets too crowded.

Any weekend getaways?
My wife and I were married at Bell’s in Los Alamos, easily the best restaurant in the state in my opinion. We love a trip up that way with a stop at Bart’s Books in Ojai, before eating at Bell’s for as many meals as possible before heading back south. Perfect way to spend a weekend without getting too far, but far enough to change the climate just a touch.

What was your last great vacation?
Our family’s secret getaway is Charleston, SC. A long jaunt sorta, but LAX will put ya there in like 4.5 hours. My wife is from North Carolina, but we have access to a family spot outside Charleston near the beach. Growing up a surfer I always thought South Carolina was a writeoff because there are no waves. Turns out there are, especially if you know where to look, and thanks to my friend Cam Richards — a pro surfer from Myrtle Beach, SC — I know where to look now. Such a drastically different beach and culture. I love feeling like a fish out of water while still being near the water.

Charleston is so old and historic and haunted and interesting. You can see where both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars started and you can eat oysters and the drinking culture is awesome. Cocktails taste better here. Amazing food and drinking town. As someone from CA, going there just feels like a stroll through your social studies book or something. There are great restaurants like Chez Nous and Vern’s, but there are so many more.

What store or service do you always recommend?
There is an old dry-cleaning and tailor spot on 2nd Street called Roxie’s Cleaners. They have become my tailor. I take all my new and old clothes there, and make them fit and repair holes in pockets. I never knew having a tailor could alter your life and your clothes for the better.

ON THE WATER: Boat days are fun, in theory. And for those who are simply guests on a seaworthy vessel, perhaps in practice, too. But, for the host, they can be chaotic and stressful. Yes, there are the practical elements: Do we have enough gas? Are we stocked with life vests? But then there are the essentials: Do we have enough snacks and drinks packed in appropriate containers? Junedays (above) makes coolers for life on the water, helping take some of the work out of pre-voyage planning.

MAKE IT SPARKLE: Many people stock their wedding registry with high-thread count sheets and Ginori 1735 china sets, but when I got married, all I wanted was the Aarke Carbonator 3. Having lived many years with a hand-me-down SodaStream, I was ready for an upgrade from this Swedish home brand that defines elevated essentials, transforming mundane moments around the house (like carbonating water) via eye-catching sleek accessories.

I’m not sure I can say with full confidence the Carbonator’s (very fizzy) bubbles are any fizzier than my previous machine, but the bubbles were never the issue — it was the ugly, plastic office-looking device that had to sit on my counter. Aarke’s models are composed of stainless steel and in addition to plastic bottles, they also sell stainless steel and (for other models) glass water vessels. As soon as my Aarke arrived, I happily put my SodaStream on the Brooklyn stoop — still totally usable for someone who was blissfully unaware of this superior option they could display with pride on their kitchen counter.

COME FLOAT AWAY: As the saying on the needlepoint pillow says: “Any day on the water is a good day.” But it’s an even better day with the right pool float. In the category of elevated pool floats, the Frontgate Lazy Day Pool Seat reigns supreme. Shaped like a classic chair, legs dangle freely in the water, while bottoms are fully submerged, torso and arms completely free to hold drinks or books. The floats are insanely durable, capable of surviving summers going from pool to ocean and back again. It’s Thursday morning. What’s the scene at your workplace?
It’s Thursday morning at the gallery, and we have three exhibitions on view in our three spaces on Santa Monica Blvd. One of our collectors will drop in and we’ll grab a coffee from Thunder Road Cafe down the street (the cafe works with local roaster Petrol Coffee, whose roastery is on the East Side). Sometimes I wonder if collectors come to the gallery to see the art or to grab a cup of the most delicious brew in WeHo.

We’ll head back to the gallery and sit at our Waka Waka table (she, the table, is always the employee of the month — we commissioned her from Los Angeles-based design studio Waka Waka in 2024). Then we’ll discuss the program — what we refer to as our roster of artists — and look at the works in the viewing room from artists like Flora Temnouche, Piper Bangs, Ethan Cook, or Maria Szakats.

It’ll be hard not to notice our signature scent, Mint Condition, from our favorite Adlan candle, purchased from our chic neighborhood design store Stock Studio. Meanwhile, our mostly female gallery team is spread out among the three galleries which sit kitty-corner to one another. We cross the street so many times a day that one of the Google Earth images featured me crossing Greenacre, our cul-de-sac and cross-street that gives the gallery its iconic Dead End sign in front of its building.

What’s on the agenda for today?
Ahead of install today, 50 local artists are delivering their paintings for the monumental group show “Love to Hate” curated by artist Brittany Fanning. The curator’s idea for the show is to explore the catharsis of complaining, rooted in humor and a shared frustration with the times we’re living in. The exhibition’s premise is, “Even within a broader sense of chaos, we fixate on small irritations, the overly friendly Trader Joe’s cashier, the sound of someone chewing, slow walkers, pickleball existing, as a way to cope. That collective ‘fuck this’ impulse becomes a kind of release, turning everyday annoyance into something communal, humorous, and strangely satisfying.” In our other two spaces are paintings from DTLA-based Kevin Yaun’s new Inside-Outside series and Lincoln Heights’ based Josh Cloud’s sculptures. Josh Cloud makes ceramic sculptures that begin as sketchbook self-portraits and are built outward into large, totemic objects — vessels whose faces are buried under accumulated weight, carrying bowls of rocks, orbs, or other objects on their heads.

Any restaurant plans today, tonight, this weekend?
Local lunch favorites include the recently opened Bou’Lange French-Japanese bakery which replaced fan-favorite Genghis Cohen (which I’d been frequenting since I was nine years old). Then for Negronis, or if you prefer martinis, and the best burger in town, we’ll head to my friend Ben Shenassafar’s place, The Benjamin.

Other local favorites, which I need to shout out as they have been feeding me for years, include Angelini Osteria & Alimentari, Sycamore Kitchen, and Jones. RIP to Gigi’s which housed an incredible Andie Dinkin mural! Also two competing places for my heart are Tower Bar and Chateau Marmont: I wouldn’t be an Angeleno if I didn’t visit a hotel restaurant at one point of the day. If I were brave (or dumb enough) to head to Malibu on a weeknight (the traffic alone gives me nightmares), I’d dive into Taverna Tony’s.

How about a little leisure or culture?
Since I live and breathe art, I would always recommend downloading SEE SAW to see all exhibitions in the area (the app is also available in cities throughout the world). We are also part of GALA which gives you a great map of all the galleries throughout Los Angeles. Then I always pay homage to institutions like LACMA, MOCA, CAAM, The Hammer Museum and the oh-so-special Getty Villa.

What was your last great vacation?
My family traveled to Japan’s art islands in April of last year, specifically Naoshima and Teshima. We were privileged to see the permanent installation of Christian Boltanski’s Les Archives du Cœur at the Benesse Art Site. Since 2008, Boltanski has been recording the heartbeats of people throughout the world. The recordings may be listened to by visitors. It’s also possible to record your own heartbeat here. Five months before my mom died, she recorded her heartbeat. I keep the recording on my desk at the gallery as a testament to her and the resilience within human connection.

What’s a recent big-ticket purchase you love?
Paintings by Grace Bromley and RF. Alvarez, both artists whom we work with. I love living with our artists’ work.

What store or service do you always recommend?
I always recommend my aesthetician, Alisha Doyle, for facials. I also can’t recommend a trip to The Huntington in Pasadena enough. I’m a total fangirl of their director Christina Nielsen. The way she explains the museum’s duty to engage the next generation of budding botanists, bibliophiles, and art enthusiasts will have you swooning!

Where are you donating your time or money?
Tree People, a local organization that inspires people to come together to grow a more climate-resilient Southern California. TreePeople stewards more than 3000 acres of land in the Santa Monica Mountains, protecting these spaces for the benefit of future generations. It also holds a special place for me, as it’s the location of my mom’s memorial bench.

It’s true: Seemingly every it-girl in Los Angeles has gone gaga for Spencer’s Spa, the New York City import that first brought approachable, refined massages and facials to West Hollywood at the end of last summer.

In the last year, I’ve tried out the design-forward day spa’s signature body massage, the couples’ massage and the signature facial, and though I’ve yet to pull the trigger on any of the treatment packages or sign up for a membership, I’m just one bad day away from taking advantage of their next text blast offering 50 percent off all treatments.

With elegant flourishes like complimentary cashmere-blend socks with every visit and neutral-toned lounge areas beautified with seasonal floral arrangements and a high-culture mix of books and magazines, Spencer’s balances elements of a chic high-end hotel spa with a more no-frills Korean spa experience.

The converted 1920s Spanish bungalow and backyard where the massages take place feel charming and luxurious enough for anniversaries (and also work for a monthly session). Two-hour street parking is typically abundant outside, leaving time to spend post-massage on a recliner among the citrus trees.

Next door, the ambience is equally calming at the conventional storefront where the spa’s expert facialists perform ultrasonic extractions and other high-tech skin-care techniques. In terms of actual treatment quality, I would consider all three of my Spencer’s experiences to be above average. It’s Thursday morning. What’s the scene at your workplace?
Our bakery is bustling on a Thursday morning: we’re making bread, pastry and challah for Friday morning. My morning consists of checking in with my bakery/cafe team, performing QC checks in the bakery and planning for the weekend. After checking in with the Culver City crew, I will start work on our new Pasadena project.

Thursdays are usually our tasting days for Full Proof Pizza, our new dinner concept set to open late summer 2026. We go through five to six menu items, ranging from handmade pastas to chicken parmesan.

Any restaurant plans today, tonight, this weekend?
This week we had the pleasure of dining at Lielle. It was amazing. From the food to the staff, everything was on point, fine dining without a stuffy and pretentious atmosphere. Highly recommend it. Also recently visited Budonoki, where we ended up ordering almost the entire menu. Standouts were the spicy tuna hand roll, Japanese sweet potatoes, negima skewer, and the chef’s salad with salmon furikake. Everything was excellent.

I also love Electric Bleu. It has classic French bistro vibes with great steak frites and a deep wine list with lots of options. The atmosphere is lively and fun, and the GM brings a very French energy in the best way. Great neighborhood spot. My wife and I recently dined at Sushi:K and did the omakase. All the nigiri was incredibly fresh and delicious, especially the yellowtail and aji. It’s a small, cozy place that we found really charming, and the service was so warm and friendly.

How about a little leisure or culture?
I love to golf in my free time or sometimes first thing before I start my day. Spending three to four hours walking a golf course without a phone, just with my own thoughts, is very relaxing and therapeutic for me, especially after a long week. My favorite course is Rancho Park. It’s one of the best, but also one of the hardest places to get a good tee time. It’s actually considered the most played municipal golf course in America, often logging over 100,000 rounds a year. It used to host PGA tournaments, which says a lot about the quality. It’s a beautiful course, tucked right into the middle of the city. Because it’s so busy, I’m lucky if I get to play there twice a year. Other public courses I like are Soule Park in Ojai and Olivas Links in Ventura.

Any weekend getaways?
Every few months we take a quick one- or two-night trip without our kids, and we recently went up to Los Olivos and had a blast. It’s a trip we’ve done before. For a special getaway, we stayed at The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern. Another great, more budget-friendly option we love is the Skyview in Los Alamos. We love going to Bar le Cote for lunch, followed by some wine tasting in town (our favorite room is Solminer). We then like to have dinner at Bell’s which is a fantastic experience.

What was your last great vacation?
Nosara, Costa Rica, for a family spring break with friends. We rented a house near the beach and it was a really special experience. At its core, Nosara is a sleepy surf town that’s starting to grow in popularity. If you want to stay in town, the Sendero Hotel and Villas is a great option. The only real mode of transportation is renting golf carts for the week and we would take the kids to Organico Bakery for breakfast pastries. Restaurante La Luna is literally on the beach and offers a stunning sunset view during dinner. There are a handful of easy and fun casual dining spots to choose from but you should start the night with a drink at the Harmony Hotel Bar. There are plenty of activities to do but the best is heading to the beach during sunset. It’s pretty special.

What’s a recent big-ticket purchase you love?
Our pizza oven for Full Proof (our aforementioned, forthcoming new pizza spot). We will be working with an electric Moretti Forni deck oven and we can’t wait to start using it.

It’s Thursday morning. What’s the scene at your workplace?
I usually spend Thursday mornings shooting content at home. I bring a specific selection of jewels from the showroom with me to style multiple looks and create visual content for our Instagram, website, and/or ads that support and promote our latest collection launches.

Any restaurant plans today, tonight, this weekend?
My husband is an amazing cook so we usually eat at home during the week, but we do always try for a midweek date night. Our go-to spots are Sushi Fumi in WeHo, South Beverly Grill in Beverly Hills, and Dan Tana’s, where I usually have chopped salad, chicken parm, and cappuccino ice cream for dessert.

How about a little leisure or culture?
Our weekly family activity is on Sundays at The Beverly Hills Farmers Market. We need our Harry’s Berries fix! We always get food for the week and our two-year-old daughter, Olivia, plays with the animals. Afterwards, we stop for brunch at Leora. I’m currently obsessed with their frozen matchas, and I always go for their chopped salad or tuna melt.

Any weekend getaways?
I’m celebrating a milestone birthday with my best friend (we share the same big birthday, just one day apart!) and heading to Santa Barbara. We’ll be staying at the Belmond El Encanto, spending time in Montecito, and dining at my favorite spots there, Lucky’s and Honor Bar.

What was your last great vacation?
I just got back from a week in Paris, my very favorite city in the world. We stayed at La Réserve, which is a really special place and so chic. My husband and I try to visit every six months, and our top five restaurant recs are Le Voltaire (dinner), L’Avenue (lunch), Le Grande Cafe (in the summer, sit out on the patio!), Le Petite Luticia (dinner), and The Ritz (lunch).

What’s a recent big-ticket purchase you love?
I bought this Chanel bag in Paris from Matthieu Blazy’s debut collection. It’s current and fresh, but also a forever bag. I just love it!

Where are you donating your time or money?
My husband and I started Angels 4 Austin in memory of our newborn son, Austin, who we lost to polycystic kidney disease. One of our most meaningful initiatives focuses on providing small comforts to families in the NICU. Crisp air, morning sprinkles, and most of the city’s signifiers of spring came and went over just two perfect days this year. The jacarandas remain in full bloom, however, lush and lavender.

It’s a fitting time to welcome back chef Daniel Patterson after a decade hiatus from fine-dining kitchens. His new Hollywood tasting menu restaurant, Jacaranda, opened at the start of May. In less than a season, it’s already blossomed into an LA favorite.
